The service was exceptional. Very friendly staff. Me and my girlfriend felt taken care of from the moment we arrived, until the moment we left. The food was great! we could not help ourselves and ordered roomservice dinners and lunches more than we originally planned to do. The breakfast was as advertised and we could even tweak it slightly (more coffee, fresh milk, no black pudding ect.). We always got breakfast with room service and the staff was always smiling and very nice. The room was as advertised and very accurate to the images on booking.com.

The property is in a lovely setting. It is a beautiful building with lots of character and charm. All the staff that I encountered during my stay were down to earth, chatty, kind, helpful, friendly and polite. The room was huge with all the facilities that are required. The bar was comfortable with a good range of Gins. The restaurant was ambient. The dinner and breakfast were delicious The spa was lovely, very relaxing.

Staff are amazing. We loved the vault bar and the swimming pool for our toddler son. The size of room was ideal as we brought our own travel cot. We would love an extra space such as a games room/ kids space for children to burn off some energy if the weather isn't great. The only thing we noticed was in one of the stairwells there were glasses and empty bottles left from previous guests and the remained there our full stay. Decor is slightly tired but we loved the feel of the hotel. Will be back if we can get another good rate.

I really enjoyed my breakfast, there was something for everyone and my scrambled eggs and smoked salmon was the best. my room was beautiful and clean although i realised after check out that i was missing a body lotion which was never in my room upon checking in. the Elemis products were a great addition and comfort, my room could do with some bathrobes since the hotel did have spa facilities

Very nice rooms. Good size and comfortable bed. The spa facilities are a great bonus - nice swimming pool, sauna and steam room. I didn't use the gym. Nice gardens to walk around.

I requested a room away from other guests as other hotel experiences have frustrated me with loud neighbours in the evenings and late into night and in the early hours. I was accommodated here so well!! I had 3 of the most stress free evenings and mornings I have had in a Hotel 😁 The staff were lovely and helpful. The gym, although small, was effective at what I needed it for. The pool area was very nice and the steam room and sauna facilities all easy access from the pool I really enjoyed the look and feel of my room, I will defo request it again should I ever return The espresso machine in the room was a nice touch! Breakfast was great! A nice selection of hot breakfast and cold breakfast

This hotel is a great location if you need to get public transport into Edinburgh. The train station is walkable, but it was pouring with rain so we opted for a taxi that the hotel reception kindly organised for us. Don't be fooled by Uber - they didn't respond after 15 mins! Hotel was comfortable and the staff were friendly. Dinner in the Tower restaurant was very good and not too expensive.
